Rob Cross
I'm happily living with Fran (girlfriend at 12, wife at 20), and still girlfriend. Originally a Sydney-ite, I worked for 35 years as a Real Estate Agent in Canberra. For the last 31/2 years I've been a retired baby boomer and sea-returner, I just love Hervey Bay.
I'm not a good photographer even though my points earned me A Grade. However I enjoy it and am learning from marvellous photographer Fran and from Club Competitions and Photoshop Helpers like Pam Thomas and Bruce Butler, also great image makers. I love playing around with computers, editing "The Pixel", walking the dog and taking our little motorhome, "The Ferret for a run".
Around 1954, I started off with a Zeiss "Ikonta" M, 21/4 square film camera, even took some colour shots with "Ferraniacolour, graduated to a compact Nikon 35mm, then took my first digital trip with a Nikon Coolpix 990. "One day I'll take a good image with my first SLR, a Nikon" D40x. I'll just keep on trying".
